A little about me…

I've explored art in various ways from childhood art classes to pursuing it as my major in college, my journey with art has been both structured and fluid. While my academic path shifted, my passion for art remained constant. I know I was meant to be an artist.

Painting serves as a profound outlet for me, overcoming the loss of my mother allowed me to process and express myself in diverse forms. Whether I have a plan in mind or let my intuition guide me, each piece begins on a blank or repurposed canvas resulting in creations that are uniquely genuine. My hope is that people will find a painting and relate to it; essentially, drawing them in. Whether they see something beautiful, complex, mesmerizing or something that sparks a memory - I like to leave it up to the viewer to interpret what they envision.

I have a very eclectic style, My creative process tends to be all over the place at times. I paint with emotion – my mood, memories and music play a significant role in what I create.

I like to work across multiple mediums, including acrylic, encaustic, oil & soft pastels, charcoal and acrylic inks. I am constantly experimenting with new tools & techniques. I love painting in full multi-color palettes but I also love painting with a limited neutral palette. I tend get bored with one and have to go back to the other. At this point, I’ll likely never choose which one I like more.
